Ivory Pipe Features Carvings and Eskimo Figures
Cowan's will offer an exquisite Bering Sea Eskimo Ivory Pipe in its September 11 American Indian Art Auction. The pipe is carved in three pieces and the stem is incised with bands of whales, looms, and whale tails. The pipe also features a four-faced figure and a flared bowl designed with hatch marks.
