Oil on canvas, first quarter 19th century, unsigned; 28 x 43 in.
Curiously, this paintings appears to be titled Evening on the Mahoning in an auction inventory from 1871 at P.H. Sullivan & Son, in Baltimore, although the picture appears to be a Dutch subject and probably an Old Master Copy in the manner of Jacob Van Ruysdael (Dutch, 1628-1681).
