Pair of Old Sheffield Five Light Candelabra,

English, early to mid-19th century, silver-on-copper candelabra attributed to Newcastle, ca 1840, each having a stop-fluted leafage-cast baluster standard above a serpentine foot supporting a removable candle section with four arms, the whole terminating in a thistle-form nozzle into which fits the superstructure of four reeded and floral-encrusted arms, each ending in a urn-form nozzle with detachable bobeche, the central nozzle with detachable flame finial. Marked inside with date letter F, probably for 1844, and number 124; about 22" high to top of finial, 15" spread.
