A ca 1880s sixth-plate tintype of two bicycle delivery men in uniform, posed with their high wheelers. One of the bikes is a rare American Star safety high wheeler, which featured the smaller wheel in front in order to combat the common problem of being thrown over the handlebars following a sudden stop or unexpected bump.
