**1917 Dated DWM "Red 9" Artillery Luger with Stock & Holster
9mm, 8" barrel, S/N 9772a. Blued finish, strawed small parts, checkered wood grips. 1917 dated chamber, DWM logo on toggle, large {Red 9} in grips. Visible numbers match. Tangent rear sight, dovetailed blade front sight, stock lug on backstrap. Accompanied by an original slab wood shoulder stock numbered 9765 on the locking collar tang, which has been lined out and also 85 on the opposite side, which is also lined out. Also includes an original leather holster with straps and accessories with what appears to be a later added socket and strap at the stock neck and a high quality reproduction dual magazine pouch. Holster retains an original cleaning rod. Pistol includes a single wood base magazine numbered 9771a.

Condition:
Very good. Metal with most of the blued finish showing thinning, light wear and loss, particularly along high edges and contact points. Thinned areas developing a mostly smooth, lightly oxidized plum patina. Barrel with a couple of minor scrapes on the left side. Some strong areas of straw remain on the small parts. Markings remain clear, mechanically functional with a mostly bright bore with some frosting and oxidation in the grooves. Grips with some wear, most of the red paint in the "9" markings is worn away. Holster and shoulder stock with moderate wear, rating good to very good overall.
