** 1920/1916 Double-Date DWM Luger w/matching Holster, Extra Magazine, Takedown Tool
9mm Parabellum. 4" barrel length. SN: 8460/O. Single-action semi automatic pistol with removable aluminum knobbed 8-shot magazine, stock lug, military lanyard ring, and fixed v-notch and ramp sights. Blued military finish, silver small parts, and checkered walnut grips. Markings include three Imperial German (crown/gothic letter) marks and one Imperial German eagle proof to right of slide. There is also one Imperial German eagle mark to top of barrel, and one Imperial German eagle mark to center toggle link. Item has "1920/1916" double-date marks to front of breech, and "DWM" logo to top of center toggle link. Serial number is marked under barrel, to front of slide, and left of slide. There are partial serial number marks to trigger plate, trigger, takedown lever, and to all three center toggle links. Safety is marked "GESICHERT" under thumb toggle. All serial numbers match on this Luger, including inserted magazine marked "1/8460" and extra magazine marked "2/8460", both to bottoms. Includes takedown tool and black leather military-style holster marked "Franz Cobau/1933" and "8460" to backside, with "H5343" scrawled in pencil under flap. Item appears to be a 1920 rework for either military or police use, and was most likely manufactured in 1916.

Condition:
Very good. Bore is bright with some light oxidation to rifling. Retains most all of original finish, with the only losses occurring near muzzle and to trigger plate. There is some strawing to small silver parts. Wood grips both show some light wear to checkering. Holster has some scratches overall.
