** 1936 Dated S/42 Code Luger by Mauser w/ Holster
9mm, 3.9" barrel, S/N 1417l. Blued finish, stawed small parts, checkered wood grips. Chamber dated 1936, S/42 marked toggle. All visible serial numbers match, two Drooped-Wing Eagle/63 inspection marks along with an unnumbered Drooped-Wing Eagle behind barrel junction, with another unnumbered one on the barrel itself. Includes a mismatched blued aluminum base magazine #4059q with an E/63 inspection mark. Pistol is accompanied by a black hardshell holster with a weak Berlin maker's mark on the reverse that is dated 1936.
Condition:
Very good. Retains much of the blue with some thinning and loss from holster wear and use. Straw finish on small parts worn and thinned. Markings remain clear, mechanically functional, very good bore with some light oxidation and moderate frosting in the grooves. Grips with some wear and flattening to the checkering. Holster with moderate wear, crazing and some finish loss.
