** 1937 Dated S/42 Code Luger Pistol by Mauser with Holster
9mm, 3.9" barrel, S/N 597x. Blued finish, checkered wood grips. Chamber dated 1937, S/42 marked toggle. All visible serial numbers match, two weak Drooped-Wing Eagle/63 inspection marks along with an unnumbered Drooped-Wing Eagle behind barrel junction, with another unnumbered one on the barrel itself. Includes a mismatched blued aluminum base magazine #5092+ with an E/63 inspection mark. Pistol is accompanied by a black hardshell holster with a weak maker's mark on the reverse that is dated 1937 with a Eagle/WaA287 inspection.
Condition:
Very good as refinished with most of an older blue on the metal. Markings mostly clear, although a couple of the inspections are a little weak. Mechanically functional, very good bore with some frosting. Grips crisp with light handling marks. Holster with moderate wear, particularly to the spare magazine pouch.
