Lucien Wulsin (1845-1912) was a prominent businessman in Cincinnati. He began his career as a bookkeeper at the Baldwin Piano Company, later becoming a partner in the business and CEO. Under Wulsin's leadership, Baldwin became one of the best-selling pianos in America. Wulsin was an active member of the Commercial Club of Cincinnati. In 1907, Wulsin and other members of the Club, along with the Commercial Clubs of Boston, Chicago and St. Louis took an important trip to Panama to see the Canal route. The Gorham Martele vase was presented to Wulsin by the Commercial Club in appreciation of his role in the planning of the Panama trip.
