Colt 1862 Pocket Police Revolver
.36 caliber, 5.5" barrel, S/N 3996 (mfg. ca1861). Blued and color casehardened finish, silver plated brass backstrap and triggerguard, smooth one-piece varnished walnut grip. All visible numbers match, including wedge, but arbor and cylinder are not numbered. One-line New York barrel address.

Condition:
Good. Retains some traces of blue in protected areas, with a mostly oxidized gray patina and some surface oxidation. Markings mostly clear, some weaker. Mechanically functional, good bore with moderate pitting. Grips with some wear and finish loss, with some flattening of the edge and marks and dings.
