**Colt 1911

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 160850. Single-action semi-automatic pistol with two-tone removable 7-shot magazine, short grip safety, exposed long spur hammer, and fixed u-notch and half moon sights. Blued military finish to slide, glossy blued finish to frame, and checkered double diamond walnut grips. Features checkering to long spur hammer, stepped thumb safety, magazine release, and slide lock. Markings include standard two-line manufacturer patent dates and address, followed by a rampant Colt to rear of slide. On left side of frame is "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and a Major Gilbert H. Stewart (GHP in circle) proof behind trigger guard. Right side of slide is marked with model name, and serial number is marked to frame above trigger cutaway. Barrel has seperated (HP) marks and an (H) mark behind slide near hammer. This model 1911 was manufactured sometime in 1917. 

Condition:

Very good. Bore is bright and rifling is sharp. Slide has a brown patina to top with thin finish remaining overall. Frame still retains a good portion of bluing, with some losses and patina near muzzle, grips. There is some pitting to trigger and behind trigger cutaway. Wood grips are in good condition.
