** Colt 1911

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: 133330. Single-action semi-automatic pistol with two-tone removable 7-shot magazine, short grip safety, exposed hammer, military lanyard ring, and fixed u-notch and half moon sights. Blued metal finish with checkered double diamond walnut grips. Features checkering to long spur hammer, stepped thumb safety, slide lock, and magazine release. Markings include standard two-line manufacturer patent dates and Hartford address, followed by a rampant Colt mark to rear on left side of slide. Left side of frame features "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and Major Gilbert H. Stewart (GHS in circle) proof marks. Right side of slide is marked with model name, and serial number is marked to right of frame above trigger guard cutaway. Manufactured sometime in 1916.

Good. Bore is frosty and rifling has residue. Most of blued metal finish has turned to a plum patina and there is light pitting and surface oxidation overall. Wood grips are in good condition with minor wear and bites to both.
