.45 ACP. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 172150. Double-action revolver with fluted swing out cylinder, cartridge extractor, military lanyard ring, and fixed notch and shark fin sights. Blued military finish and plain walnut grips. Markings include standard manufacturer marks to barrel and frame, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" under barrel. There is also a Major Gilbert H. Stewart (GHS in circle) proof to frame, and "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 No. 20001" to butt of grips. Includes Colt factory letter.
Condition:
Good. Bore is bright but has some residue to rifling. Cartridge chambers also show residue. Finish is in good condition, shows heavy machine marks and some surface oxidation to frame. Wood grips have some light scratches.
