**Colt Army Special

.32-20 WCF. 6" barrel length. SN: 479251. Double-action 6-shot revolver with fluted swing-out cylinder, exposed spur hammer, fixed notch and blade sights. Blued metal finish, silver plated hammer, and checkered square-butt hard rubber Colt grips. Features checkered cartridge extractor rod, hammer, and cylinder release, with a plain trigger and top strap. Marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F." to left of barrel, with standard two-line address and patent dates to top of barrel, and rampant Colt marked to left of frame. Serial numbers are marked to cylinder yoke and crane, also etched under both of hard rubber grips in period penmanship. Manufactured from 1908-1927, this item was made sometime in 1922 according to Colt serial number identification. Includes letter of provenance.

Good. Bore is bright, rifling is sharp, and cartridge chambers are good with some light residue. Finish has worn away to left and right sides of barrel and to front of cylinder, most likely from holstering. Lock up has some give, and action is functional. There is also some grease buildup near cylinder release and crane.

Estimate: $400 - $600
