Colt Frontier Six Shooter
.44-40. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 52319. Single action revolver with fixed fluted 6-shot cylinder and fixed notch and blade sights. 3-screw frame with a vertical cylinder pin screw. Blued metal finish and case hardened frame, with one piece walnut grips. Markings include several illegible marks to left side of frame. Item appears to have original black powder barrel. There is a possible obliterated "U.S." mark to right side of frame. Item has roll marked manufacturer marks and Hartford address.
Condition:
Poor to fair. Bore is frosty and heavily pitted. Item retains very little of original finish and has pitting overall. Wood grips appear in good condition. Cylinder pin does not lock when vertical screw is fully tightened, and is able to be pulled free. Lockup is poor.
