Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver

.31 caliber, 6" octagonal barrel, S/N 224804 (mfg. ca1863). Blued and color casehardened finish, silver plated brass backstrap and triggerguard, varnished one-piece walnut grips. All numbers match, including wedge and grip. One-line New York barrel address, 5-shot cylinder with roll engraved Stagecoach Hold Up scene.

Very good. Barrel retains some streaky blue mixed with a mostly smooth plum patina, frame a mottled gray with traces of case color, brass with some strong traces of silver. All markings remain clear and crisp, cylinder scene mostly visible. Mechanically functional, very good bore with some scattered light pitting. Grip with some varnish and scattered bumps and dings, including three horizontal scrapes on the reverse near the frame.
