Colt Model 1878 D.A.
.45 LC. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 6097. Double-action only revolver with fixed 6-shot fluted cylinder, cartridge extractor rod, lanyard ring, and fixed notch and blade sights. Nickel plated finish and checkered hard rubber grips with rampant Colt logo reliefs to both. Manufactured in 1881.
Condition:
Poor to fair. Bore is dark and there is heavy residue to rifling. Cartridge chambers are dark as well. Retains less than half of original finish and has heavy oxidation and pitting overall. Not mechanically functional. Hammer will not hold at either half or full cock positions, cylinder does not reliably rotate.
