** Colt S.A.A. Frontier Six Shooter
.44-40 WCF. 4.75" barrel length. SN: 194389. Single action revolver with fixed fluted 6-shot cylinder and fixed notch and blade sights. Blued metal finish with case hardened frame, trigger, and hammer. Grips are plain fancy walnut. Grips are old, but are smaller than grip straps and do not appear to be original. Markings include "COLT'S FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" roll marked to left side of barrel. Left of frame has patent markings "PAT. SEPT.19.1871./JULY 2.72 JAN.19.75". Serial number "194389" is marked to bottom of frame, trigger guard, and butt. This item appears to be a first generation Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter manufactured in 1900. Features a horizontal cylinder pin and 3-screw frame.
Condition:
Fair. Bore is frosty and has oxidation to rifling. Cartridge chambers are dark. Item has lost most of original finish and only has small splotches scattered overall. Grips are in good condition but do not appear original. Right side grip has repair to interior side. Lockup has some wiggle room.
