Blued metal finish to slide and frame, with checkered walnut grips. Accoutrements appear to have a strawed color. There is a U.S. commercial sales (American Eagle) crest marked to front of breech, and DWM manufacturer mark on center toggle link. Standard manufacturer proofs are stamped to underside of barrel, left of slide, and left of center toggle link. Serial number is marked underneath of barrel and to front of frame. There is an unidentifiable proof or mark to left side of trigger guard. Includes unmarked leather P.08 holster with cleaning rod, take down tool, and punch tool. This commercial American Crest Luger was most likely produced in 1906.
Provenance:From the Collection of Charlie Hinton
Very good. Bore is bright and rifling is sharp, shows some signs of pitting. Minor losses to finish near muzzle, surface edges of trigger plate, and front edges of frame most likely from holstering. Leather holster is cracking and shows signs of heavy wear from age.
