**Early Colt 1911 Commercial

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: C93030. Single-action semi-automatic pistol with two-tone removable 7-shot magazine, military lanyard ring, short grip safety, exposed hammer, and fixed u-notch and half moon sights. Brilliant blued metal finish with checkered double diamond walnut grips. Features checkering to short spur hammer, partially graduated thumb safety, slide lock, and magazine release. Markings include standard two-line patent dates and Hartford address followed by a rampant Colt to rear on left of slide. Right side of slide shows caliber name and size, with "GOVERNMENT MODEL" stamped over commercial serial number above trigger guard cutaway. This commercial model 1911 was manufactured in 1917.

Condition:

Finer. Bore is frosty and rifling shows evidence of light pitting. Finish is in great condition and still retains most of brilliant blued color typical for Colts made in the early 1900's. There is some very faint pitting/surface oxidation starting to develop near grip positions. Fine example of an early Colt 1911 commercial variation.
