Very good. Retains some thinned Parkerized finish, with traces of blue on the bolt and scattered freckles of light surface oxidation. Buttplate with more moderate scattered oxidation. Clear markings in metal and wood. Mechanically functional, very good bore is mostly bright with some frosting, very minor flecks of oxidation and fine rifling. Stock with scattered bumps, dings and mars. A solid example of a scarce, early production M1 carbine from the summer of 1942.
