Falling Block Action Schuetzen

.30 caliber. 30" barrel length. SN: NSN. Swiss style Scheutzen with a tapered octagonal barrel and falling block action. Blued metal finish to barrel with case hardening to frame, lever, and buttplate. Two piece walnut stock has a checkered straight grip and forearm. Buttstock has a large elaborate cheek piece to left side. Item features adjustable rear peep sights and a damaged blade front sight with ear protectors. Action has double set triggers surrounded by a serpentine style lever, and an elongated European style buttplate. Right side of stock features a textured thumb groove and scroll carvings. Item does not have a safety, lever is locked with rotating clasp on lower tang. Top of barrel has a stepped 8" section that is widened, possibly for additional attachments. 

Condition:

Good. Bore is frosty and has oxidation to rifling. Finish has thinned areas to top of barrel on widened section, and light pit marks developing overall. Case hardened finish is still present. Wood stock is in good condition with only minor losses and light scratching overall. Wood to metal fit has some gapping to rear of lower tang, and to area where stock wrist joins the frame. Action is functional.
