** Inland Division M1 Carbine w/ Scope, Extra Magazines
.30 caliber. 18" barrel length. SN: 5549781. Gas operated semi automatic rifle with removable magazine, low wood, and blade front sight with ear protectors. Parkerized metal finish and plain semi pistol grip walnut stock. Features a Type-II wide barrel band without bayonet lug, four riveted handguard, oval stock cutaway, flat top bolt, and push button safety and magazine release. Markings include "U.S. CARBINE/CAL. .30 M1" to front of receiver, and "INLAND DIV./{serial number}" to rear of receiver. Stock has a partially obscured {crossed cannons} Ordnance Department cartouche to right side of butt, and a "P" cartouche to grip. Barrel is marked "INLAND MFG. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS/6-44" behind front sight, and has a "P" proof to mid-barrel area. Scope mount has "8247-39-1" stamp to top side. Barrel band has a lightly stamped Inland triangle mark to right side. Attached is a U.S. military issue M84 2.2x18mm scope. Item also includes an olive drab nylon sling, olive drab magazine pouch marked "U.S" to front flap and "HOFF 1943" to back side, with two extra magazines. Handguard was not removed for further observation.
Condition:
Very good. Bore is bright and rifling is good, no visible evidence of pitting or oxidation. There are some light scratches to barrel overall but few defects otherwise. Stock has some damaged areas near toe of butt, and toward front of forearm, with some minor scratches and dings overall. Scope is clear, but has some slight blurring near crosshairs. Sling and pouch are in good condition.
