.30 Carbine, 18" barrel, S/N 833638. Parkerized finish, first series high-wood paratrooper stock. Top of receiver marked INLAND DIV. over the serial number. Chamber marked U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1 in two lines. Crisp, mostly visible {Ordnance Wheel} inspection on bottom of grip with capital I O and a clear and crisp {Circle}-P proof on the rear face of the stock. Folding stock with cast buttplate with B257614 * 9 marking on interior edge with leather cheek rest attached with three brass rivets. Two-rivet hand guard marked OI on interior. Barrel marked in three lines: INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 8-43. Flat bolt top, S marked Type II rear sight, N marked front sight, unmarked Type I barrel band. Inland logo marked trigger housing, H and {Shield}-H marked hammer, large non-serif SG mark on upper left of frame, below wood line. Throat erosion 2.5, muzzle erosion 2. Includes a single SS marked 15-round Type II magazine, an OD Green sling and a Rubon K.C. 1943 marked dual magazine pouch.
Condition:
Very Fine. Retains nearly all of the Parkerized finish with clear markings in metal and showing only the most minor light handling marks and some minor thinning of the finish. Mechanically excellent, very good bore with strong rifling and some scattered pitting. Stock very fine and crisp with clear markings.
