.30 Carbine, 18" barrel, S/N 4154915. Parkerized finish, blued bolt, oval-cut high-wood stock. Top of receiver marked NATIONAL / POSTAL METER over the serial number. Chamber marked U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1 in two lines. Lightly sanded stock marked TRIMBLE / TN in sling cut, with weak {Ordnance Wheel} and NPM / FJA boxed cartouche on obverse and no visible {Circle-P} on bottom of pistol grip. Two-rivet hand guard marked TN on interior. Barrel marked in three lines: UNDERWOOD / 11-43 / {Ordnance Bomb}. Flat bolt top, S and N-A marked Type I rear sight, SN marked front sight, unmarked Type I barrel band with UN marked swivel, N / 9 marked trigger housing, HI marked hammer. Throat erosion 1.5, muzzle erosion 2.5. Includes a single MN marked 15-round Type II magazine, a post-WWII OD Green sling and an oiler.

Condition:
Fine. Retains most of the Parkerized finish with some minor wear and loss due to handling and use. Clear markings in metal, less clear in wood. Stock lightly sanded with scattered bumps, dings and minor mars. Mechanically functional, fine bore is mostly bright with some frosting and crisp rifling.
