Moore's Patent 7-Shot Revolver
.32 RF. 5" octagonal barrel. SN: 5690. Blued barrel, silver-plated engraved brass frame, varnished walnut grip. Single action, 7-shot revolver with rotating frame to allow for loading and unloading. Barrel marked in a single line: "MADE FOR SMITH & WESSON BY MOORE'S PATENT FIREARMS CO.", indicating the gun was produced after the Smith & Wesson lawsuit brought against Moore for violating the Rollin White Patent for the bored-through cylinder.
Condition:
Good. Retains no blue on the barrel or cylinder with some silver on the frame, with a thick layer of added varnish over the entire gun. Markings remain legible, with crisp engraving. Mechanically functional, good bore with moderate oxidation, face of cylinder and chambers moderately oxidized as well. Grip with wear, some finish and chipped loss along the backstrap at the lower left rear.
