Philadelphia Derringer

.41 Caliber. 2.25" barrel length. SN: NSN. Single-shot percussion pistol with 7-groove rifled barrel, fine engravings, and fixed sights. Blued metal finish with German silver hardware and a finely checkered walnut stock. Features fine engravings of floral script to cock lever, lockplate, trigger guard, tang, and escutcheons. Marked "DERINGER/PHILADEL." to top of breech and to lockplate. Barrel is partially octagonal and partially rounded with a simulated damascus patterning to finish. Very few deringers retain such vibrant original finish on the barrel. There is also a "P" mark to left of breech. Henry Deringer produced the Philadelphia derringer from 1852-1868, and it was same make and model of weapon used by John Wilkes Booth to assassinate President Abraham Lincoln.

Very good. Bore has some dark spots and oxidation. Small spot of residue or oxidation toward muzzle, but otherwise finish and wood stock are in great condition.
