Rare 64 Caliber Mold For The US Navy By Colt
8" o.a.l. iron block, wood handles, brass ferrules. Two cavities cast a nominally .64 caliber 2-ring conical bullet and a similarly sized round ball. Spruce cutter marked COTL'S / PATENT. An incredibly rare mold as so few .64 Colt revolving rifles were produced.
Condition:
Fair. Metal cleaned to a pewter gray patina, with even light to moderate pitting, more severe in some areas. Cavities very good. Handles fair, with numerous dings, mars and cracks.
