Savage Model 1861 Navy

.36 Caliber. 7" octagonal barrel. SN: NSN. Single-action 6-shot percussion revolver with double-cocking triggers, loading lever, and fixed v-notch and brass beaded sights. Dull blued military finish and plain walnut grips. Markings include "SAVAGE R.F.A. CO. MIDDLETOWN, CT." and "H.S. NORTH" followed by patent dates ending at 1860. Features double triggers that act as a proto-double action revolver by cocking the lever with the bottom trigger, and firing with the top trigger.

Condition:

Good. Possibly refinished. Bore is dark and cartridge chambers have signs of heavy oxidation. Pitting can be observed under newer finish. Cylinder shows signs of heavy use. Right side grip has several notches carved toward bottom. Both grips have chips to corners that expose grip strap cutouts, as well as scratches and dings overall.
