Auction Ledger pages, two, approx. 7.5 x 12 in., detailing what appears to be an estate, since it includes livestock, furniture, tools, a cotton gin and slaves. A couple of entries: "Allen Vance 1 negro woman Cate & Child - 1030.00 / John Garlington & Jno. W. Simpson purchased the following negroes, viz. Hoannah @ $812 Mima $555 Jack $450 making in all $1817 - they afterwards consented & resold them to Allen Vance for $1950 for the benefit of the family."
