**US M1 Carbine by Irwin Pederson
.30 Carbine, 18" barrel, S/N 1774122. Parkerized finish, I-cut, high-wood walnut stock. Rear of receiver marked IRWIN-PEDERSON over serial number. Chamber marked in two lines U.S. CARBINE CAL. .M1. Barrel marked INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 12-42. Stock stamped IR IP in sling cut out, with weak boxed S'G' cartouche and {Ordnance Wheel} on obverse. 2-rivet hand guard marked RSG on interior. Unmarked Type I barrel band, blued flat-top bolt, Type I rear sight marked S and RP, front sight marked 5. Receiver marked M4 below the wood line on the right upper rear and IP on the triggerhousing, safety marked IP-W, hammer marked SG. Throat erosion measured 2.5 and muzzle erosion measures 2.5. Includes a single U marked Type I magazine, a Type II WWII style OD Green sling and an oiler.

Condition:
Very good. Retains most of the Pakerized finish with clear markings in the metal and some scattered finish loss. Wood with weaker markings, stock lightly sanded with scattered bumps and dings. Mechanically functional, very good bore with some light frosting.
