US Model 1865 Spencer Carbine
.56-50RF, 20" barrel, S/N 9840. Blued barrel and color casehardened receiver, smooth walnut stock and forend secured by a single barrel band. Standard Spencer receiver markings, M1865 barrel marking, two clear script cartouches on reverse wrist, a vertical EAW and a horizontal DAP. Stabler cut-off, Spencer 1865 pattern ladder rear sight, block front sight base with German silver blade, correct pattern magazine follower tube with grooved base. Retains both sling swivel and saddle bar with ring.

Condition:
Very good+. Retains much of the thinning blue on the barrel with clear markings, with some dulled and faded case color on the receiver. Mechanically functional, good 6-groove bore with moderate oxidation and some scattered pitting. Stock with some light wear and handling marks, two clear cartouches, otherwise with some bumps and dings.
