.56-50RF, 20" barrel, S/N 29905. Blued barrel and color casehardened receiver, smooth walnut stock and forend secured by a single barrel band. Standard Burnside receiver markings including M1865, two partially legible script inspection cartouches on reverse wrist. Stabler cut-off removed and hole plugged with a screw, Spencer 1865 pattern ladder rear sight, block front sight base with German silver blade, correct pattern magazine follower tube with grooved base. Retains both sling swivel and saddle bar with ring. The number 1 is neatly carved in the reverse of the stock.

Good. Retains some strong traces of blue on the barrel, minute traces on the receiver with more color on the hammer. Clear markings, mechanically functional, good 6-groove bore with moderate oxidation and some pitting. Wood with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
