** Winchester M1 Carbine
.30 caliber. 18" barrel length. SN: 6515586. Gas operated semi automatic rifle with removable magazine, low wood, and adjustable rear milled sight and fixed blade front sight with ear protectors. Parkerized military finish and plain semi pistol grip walnut stock. This item features a Type-I narrow barrel band without bayonet lug, two riveted handguard, rounded bolt, and oval shaped sling cutaway to butt of stock. There is also a push button safety marked ""EW"" to right side, and a push button magazine release marked with a "M" or "W" to front near the magazine well. Markings include "U.S. CARBINE/CAL. .30 M1" to front of receiver, "WINCHESTER/{serial number}" to rear of receiver, and a "W" marked on upper tang. Barrel has two Winchester proofs to top side, front sight appears to have a "W" mark, and there is a partially obscured "S" to bottom of triggerguard. Front sight is marked with either an "N" or partial "W" mark. Stock has a sharp {crossed cannon} Ordnance Department cartouche to right side of butt. Does not appear to have a Winchester cartouche anywhere on stock. Includes a nylon olive drab sling with buttstock magazine pouch that is marked "U.S" to flap, and "AVERY 1943" to backside.
Condition:
Good to very good. Bore is bright and rifling is sharp. Barrel possibly refinished or reworked at some point, with light scratches and some thinning to top side. Wood stock is in good condition and has some scratches, dings, bites overall. Nylon sling appears to be in good condition as well.
