** Winchester M1 Carbine

.30 carbine. 18" barrel length. SN: 1037348. Parkerized finish, I-cut, high-wood walnut stock. Top rear of receiver marked in three lines "WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK / 1037348". Chamber with standard two-line "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1" marking. Obverse stock with crisp boxed .78" wide "WRA/GHD" cartouche and with .54" "{Ordnance Wheel}" mark, with a "{Circle-P}" firing proof on base of pistol grip, no markings in sling cut-out on reverse. Lower edge of 2-rivet hand guard marked "W". Flat top, blued bolt. Barrel marked "W" 3.625" from muzzle and with Winchester "WP" firing proof 6.3125" from muzzle. Unmarked Type I barrel band with blued swivel, "J" marked trigger housing, "W" marked hammer, "W" marked checkered magazine release, "S" marked Type I rear sight. Throat erosion measures 3, muzzle erosion measures 2. Includes an "IS" marked Type II 15-round magazine, an olive drab green sling with oiler and a 1943-dated "Hamlin Canvas Goods Co" marked dual magazine pouch.

Condition:

Fine. Retains most of the Pakerized finish with some light surface wear and minor handling marks. All marks in metal and wood remain crisp and clear, mechanically functional, fine bore. Stock crisp with some light handling marks. Accessories about very good to fine. Muzzle grade of 0 to .5, and a throat grade of about 2 to 2.5.
