**WWI Mauser C96 "Red 9" Pistol with Matching Numbered Holster Stock
9mm, 5.5" barrel, S/N 51027. Blued finish, bright bolt, niter blued small parts, 24-groove hardwood grips. 50-500 meter tangent rear sight, slotted for shoulder stock. Standard wartime commercial markings, small ring hammer with NS marking, matching full or partial serial number on chamber, backstrap, lock frame, hammer, bolt, magazine floor plate and in grips. {CROWN}/{GOTHIC LETTER} on right chamber, with {CROWN}/U proof on left chamber. The pistol is accompanied by a Mauser banner marked holster stock that is numbered 027, matching the gun.

Condition:
Fine. Retains much of the blued finish with some moderate thinning, high edge wear and minor loss with areas of thinned blue blending with a lightly oxidized plum patina. Small parts retain some of their bright niter blued finish. All markings are clear and crisp. Mechanically functional, very good bore shows some frosting in the grooves and some scattered oxidation. Grips with some scattered bumps and dings. Stock with more moderate handing marks and surface mars.
